Mission:

CAMARTEC's mission is to develop and disseminate improve technologies suitable for agricultural and rural development. The activities are aimed at boosting agricultural production and improving the quality of life and alleviation of rural poverty.

Functions:

To carry out and promote the carrying our of applied research designated to facilitate the designing, adoption and development of machinery and equipment suitable for use in agricultural and rural development.
To develops and manufacture approved prototypes, components and cultural techniques and technologies and evaluate their suitability for adoption and alternative use in rural agricultural production.
To perform tests on all types of machinery and equipment intended for use in agricultural and rural development in Tanzania and to publish the results of each test.
