Vision

Mission

The Vision of the Prime Minister's Office seeks to be the centre of excellence, performing the role of arbiter between sector ministries and also be a leader of government's democratic development exercising neutrality and arbitration of political parties.

The Mission of the Prime Minister's Office is to ensure, supervise and monitor the implementation of government decisions. 

Functions

  • Coordination, Monitoring and following up of implementation of activities in all Ministries. Leader of Government Business in the National Assembly. Link between the political parties and Government. National Festivals and Celebrations. Information Policy.

  • Monitoring of mass media (newspapers, Radio and Television stations).

  • Disaster preparedness and management of civic contingencies (relief).

  • Capital Transfer and Development. Facilitation and Implementation of plans for the Development of Dodoma as the Capital of Tanzania. Coordination and supervision of the Transfer Programme.
