(TACAIDS)

Vision

To have a society in which our children can grow up free from the threat of HIV/AIDS and which cares for and supports those who are still infected and affected by HIV/AIDS.

 Mission

To provide strategic leadership for a national multi-sectoral response to HIV/AIDS leading to the reduction of further infectious associated diseases and the adverse socio-economic affect of the epidemic.

 Goal

To coordinate the implementation of the National Multi-sectoral Response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic.

 Objectives

This mission is translated into eight main objectives:

• To develop strategic framework and national guidelines to support planning, Coordination and implementation of the National Multi-sectoral Response at all levels.

• To develop and facilitate implementation of the national strategy for mobilization and utilization of resources for HIV/AIDS.

• To develop and facilitate implementation of national strategy for advocacy on HIV/AIDS epidemic.

• To establish and strengthen partnerships for an expanded response among all Stakeholders, i.e Government Institutions, Development partners, PLHA, Private Sector, Faith Based Institutions and Pos.

• To promote research on HIV/AIDS and foster linkages with other research institutions.

• To establish and maintain multi-sectoral HIV/AIDS information management system and facilitate information dissemination.

• To develop an affective mechanism for monitoring trends of the epidemic and the impact of HIV/AIDS intervention nationwide.

• To establish and sustainable maintain an efficient and effective management capacity at TACAIDS.
