Weights and Measures Agency
Mission:
The Weights and Measures Agency's mission is to provide consumer protection through accurate measurements for fair trade transaction.
Functions:
- To provide certification services of Weights and Measures by conducting inspection, verification and calibrations so as to protect consumers;
- To maintain the traceability of weights and measures standards in order to realise accuracy and uniformity of standards at all levels, i.e. from the international level down to the commercial
level;
- To ensure a well managed agency through efficient and effective service
delivery;
- To increase consumer awareness in weights and measures;
- To enforce the Weights and measures laws.
