Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority is a government executive agency responsible for the provision of Air Navigation services and for Safety, Security and Economic Regulation of Civil aviation in Tanzania. Air Navigation Services include Air Traffic Services, Communications, Search and Rescue, and Aeronautical Information Services.
Safety, Security and Economic Regulation is responsible for the development, promotion and ensuring compliance of safety standards and requirements in airworthiness; flight operations, aerodromes and aviation personnel licensing; and ensuring that the industry implements all aviation security requirements to meet international standards. Accident investigation is carried out on behalf of the Ministry of Communication and Transport.
